World Quality Week Celebration

Initiative idea

The second week of November each year is recognized as the World Quality Week. The Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance, through adopting global best practices in quality and academic accreditation, seeks to elevate the level of academic quality and performance at the university. It also aims to develop academic programs to ensure the enhancement of learning outcomes and contribute effectively to building a knowledge-based economy.

In this regard, the Deanship launched the World Quality Week under the theme “Sustainability in Quality”, through a package of activities held over one week. These activities aimed to document the journey of King Faisal University in quality and academic accreditation, celebrate its achievements, and introduce a number of distinguished accompanying initiatives.

 

Initiative Objectives

  1. Optimal utilization of available resources and technologies to spread and promote concepts and practices of quality in both education and work environments.
  2. Enriching the knowledge of university members regarding the latest developments in quality and academic accreditation.
  3. Combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications in quality and accreditation.
  4. Showcasing the most significant achievements and practices of the university in quality and academic accreditation.
  5. Presenting best practices in the field of quality and accreditation.
  6. Honoring accredited academic programs and motivating programs that have not yet been accredited.

  • Preparing specialized publications (infographics / motion graphics) designed by university experts in quality and accreditation, and publishing them via email and the university’s social media channels (Twitter, Snapchat, Telegram).
  • Producing a video on the university’s quality journey and showcasing it.
  • Sending quotes and messages on quality during the World Quality Week.
  • Preparing printed materials (brochures, cards, posters) and distributing them to university members.
  • Highlighting distinguished student experiences in the field of quality.
  • Delivering training programs and workshops related to quality, accreditation, and sustainability for university members and the community.
  • Launching a number of initiatives related to quality and sustainability.
  • Honoring programs that have obtained program accreditation.
